Being ever vigilant when it comes to email-based cybersecurity attacks is crucial in today's digital world. Bad eggs will use various methods to try to gain information from you, such as spoofing email senders, impersonating colleagues, and using high-priority buzzwords.

If you come across an email that seems suspicious, the best course of action is to report the email using the Phish Alert button that is built into Outlook. This will analyze the email in real time and immediately send a report of it to the PTS Information Security team.

You'll find the Phish Alert button in your Outlook Ribbon:

When you click it to report and email, you're presented with these options:

Upon reporting the message, you'll get the following response:

Once the email is evaluated, you will receive an email from help.desk.edu with the following response:

If the email is clean, you will receive an email with the following response:
