Downloading
files from OneDrive
There are a
few ways to download files from your OneDrive, let's explore the most common
ways to do it:
Office portal
After
accessing OneDrive using the web portal office.com from any browser.
1- Sign in
using your email address (firstname.lastname@ptsem.edu) and your PTS password.
2- Click on
OneDrive
3- Select the
file, and make right-click
4- From the
menu select Download.

Need to
download several documents? You can use the selection circle to the left of you
files to select multiple files. Once selected, you can right click on the
selected files and download.

For Windows
10 users the downloaded file can be found on Downloads in File Explorer. For
Mac users, the file can be found in Finder, Downloads.

You must
be connected to OneDrive when using this method. Check OneDrive's icon, right
side of the taskbar for Windows 10 and for Mac, the icon is located on the
Menu bar

Windows 10
users (File Explorer)
1- Open File
Explorer, make click on OneDrive - Princeton Theological Seminary

2- Locate the
file you want to download, make right-click **
3- From the
menu select Send to and then Documents

** If you are
looking to download several documents you can use the keys Shift+ Arrow or
by clicking on the first document, pressing Shift, and clicking on the
last document when the files are next to each other. When the files are not
adjacent press the Control key as you click on each file until all the
needed documents are selected. Continue the process for a single file.
For Mac users
(Finder)
1- Open
Finder
2- Click on
OneDrive - Princeton...

3- Select the
file you want to download **
4- Command +
C (Copy)
5- Move to
the desired destination and Command + V (Paste). This action creates a local
copy of the document.
** Select
multiple files: Press and hold the Command key, then click the documents you
want to download (with this option the files don't need to be next to each
other). When the files are adjacent, click on the first file, then press Shift
+ click on the last file then continue with the process described for a
single document.
You can also
move the file from OneDrive to the target destination by dragging and dropping
the document, the only copy of this file will be in the local machine.

The 3rd and
final method we will be discussing is saving a copy of the document.
1- Open the
document and click on File
2- Click on Save,
from the options select Save as a copy

the same for Mac users and Windows 10 users
