Name Mangler is a macOS batch
utility to rename files & folders in bulk. We use this mainly for migrating
users to OneDrive, as OneDrive has a laundry list of character restrictions ( " * : < > ?
/ \ |).
We have 5 licenses available
through JAMF > Mac Apps, that we can assign and revoke as necessary.
The attached file is a preset,
that will auto-populate the restricted characters into the app, so you do not
have to create each individual step.
The process is very simple,
you drag files and/or folders to the left side of the window, it analyzes them,
and then will prompt you to rename them.
Ensure you check off 'Folders'
as well, so it renames them too.
