UserCheckup,
For Users outside of IT
PTS has a tool
created that will allow users across the Seminary to access information about
each persons account. The tool can be accessed at: https://tns-apps.ptsem.edu/UserCheckup/SearchByUsernameID.aspx

This article
will walk you through the in's and out's of UserCheckup
1.
Launch the application via desired web browse
2.
Sign in with your PTS account username and password
3.
On the left portion of the page, you'll see a Search Bar
a.
This is used to search through Administration, Faculty, Staff
and Students
b.
Search via firstname.lastnameformat for best results
i. Search in AD checkbox: Searches active Administration, Faculty,
Staff and Students.
ii. If AD checkbox is unchecked: Search will pull any similar
results from Jenzabar J1.


Once you find
the user, you'll see that UserCheckup is broken into different sections based
upon the info contained in each section.
1.
Account Summary
a.
You'll see users full name, roles (primary role is in bold),
their title, email address and direct contact line and if they're a Help Desk
VIP
b.
You'll also see Actions: Change Password, E-mail Password
Recovery, E-Mail Alum Conversion, Start Bomgar Session


2.
Account Information (from Active Directory)
a.
You'll see username, whether or not the account is enabled or
disabled, the location of the Home Directory (H drive), account creation date,
last login date, last password change date, whether they have the ability to
change their own password, if they do/do not have VPN access, which groups the
belong to and lastly notes about the account.


3.
Mail
a.
Shows the Exchange Emails associated with the user and the
mailboxes location.
b.
You can also check to see if the user has an email forward set
up and/or edit that information.

4.
Jenzabar J1 Database
a.
Shows the users email address, AD username, the JICS login &
roles (set here), the Cbord ID number, the Abra ID number, account recovery
address and logs, subscriptions in use.
