eFax - How to Send & Receive Faxes

If your department has an eFax account, you have several methods for sending faxes.  You have the ability to send faxes via a web interface, via a shared PTS email account or via mobile apps  (iOS or Android).

To send a fax via email:

It is important to remember that you will need to change the "From" email address of your email.  The "From" email address should be changed to your department's share fax email account.  These will vary by department.

·       Open Outlook and create a new email account

·       Change the "From" email address to your department's shared fax email account

·       In the "To" line enter the phone number that you are looking to send a fax to starting with 1 (Area Code) Fax Number followed by @efaxsend.com. Example, 16091234567@efaxsend.com

·       Add a subject and any text to the email that you like.  any text in the body will appear on the cover sheet.

·       Attach any documents or files that you would like to send.

·       Click Send as you normally would.

You should receive a confirmation email shortly after sending your message.  Should you need to send a fax internationally, please refer to this eFax guide on how to send a fax as it will contain a link to international codes.
