Grammarly
Extension for Web Browsers
Grammarly can
check your grammar and spelling while you type in your web browser. It works
with Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Below you will find step-by-step instructions
for how to add it to Chrome, and you can check the Grammarly website here for help adding it to either
Safari or Firefox.
1. The first task
is to sign up for a Grammarly account. Go to grammarly.com. If you have an account already, you can skip this step. If you
do not have an account, click "Sign Up" in the top right corner once
you are on the Grammarly homepage.
2. Once you've
signed up for an account, download the Grammarly extension. For Chrome, Safari,
or Firefox extensions, click here.
3. When you use
the link above you should be taken to the following page. For Chrome, click the
green "Chrome Store" to take you to the following page.
4. Once you click
"Chrome Store" you will be taken to this page. Click "Available
on Chrome" in the top right corner to take you to the download page.
5. Watch for a
confirmation pop-up. It will appear after you click on the "Available on
Chrome" button. This allows the app to read what you write.
6. If you've
downloaded the extension correctly the Grammarly icon will show up in your
browser.
7. When you click
on the logo a menu will pop up. Make sure you do the following:
The first slider is set to "On"/Green.
The second slider is set to "On"/Green.
The "I write in" section is set to the correct
language.
