Antiracism Small Groups Response
Dear [Student},
Thank you for your email
regarding the ongoing antiracism initiatives at PTS and the small groups in
particular. We understand that this year has been challenging, and we want to
affirm that you are navigating a lot. We have removed your name from the small
group list as you've requested.
As an important part of our
community, we'd like to share with you our hope for this work and give you an
opportunity to offer more feedback or ask questions. This work is a continuous
process of growth for us as individuals and as an institution. Our goal is to
offer ongoing community-wide opportunities to engage in self-reflection,
education, and action to fight systemic racism in our PTS community and beyond.
We began with the asynchronous training to lay a foundation of shared language
for the conversation, and we will continue this work in small groups that will
allow a more personal and community-focused space led by outside consultants.
If you have further feedback
about your experiences with the antiracism work at PTS thus far or would like
to ask any questions, please contact either Dean John White (the Dean of
Student Life at DeanofStudentLife@ptsem.edu) or
Associate Dean Victor Aloyo (the Associate Dean for Institutional Diversity and
Community Engagement at victor.aloyo@ptsem.edu).
If you have other questions
related to access on Brightspace or scheduling - or if you would like to be
moved to a different small group, please reply here or email brightspace@ptsem.edu.
Thank you,
