Webex - Cohost Role

The cohost is a feature in a webex meeting that grants another participant similiar priviledges as the meeting host.  This affords anyone assigned the role of cohost the ability to start and manage the meeting as well as control may of the meeting functions including:

·       Starting and stopping the meetings

·       Recording controls

·       Mute and unmute participants

·       sharing mutlimedia

·       Move people to the Lobby and expel attendees

·       manage and control breakout sessions

 

 

Add Cohosts when scheduling a Meeting

1.     Log into the PTS Webex website:  https://ptsem.webex.com/

2.     Sign in using your full PTS email address and password

3.     Click Schedule

4.     Use the Meeting Wizard to enter the topic, meeting date and time

5.     In the attendees section, enter the email or name of your intended cohost and press enter

6.     Once added as an attendee, Select the silhouette icon next to their name to mark them as a cohost.

7.     Click Schedule

 

Add a Cohost During a Webex meeting

1.     With your meeting in progress, click on the Participants Button

2.     From the list of participants, locate the person you would like to make a cohost

3.     Right click on their name, select Change Role to - Cohost

This will provide this participants management abilities over the meeting similar to yours as the host.
