Zoom Phone - Hot Desking

Hot Desking is a feature that can be enabled by the PTS Help Desk to allow multiple employees to use the same physical desk phone. This is useful for shared workspaces. The phone is assigned to the primary user, and the secondary user can sign into the phone as a guest to have the phone reprogrammed to them until they sign out.

 

Once enabled by the Help Desk, a new softkey will show "Guest"

 

 

Press that, and it will dial an automated number and ask for your extension and your PIN. Your PIN can be found in the Phone Settings section of ptsem.zoom.us

 

 

After you enter your extension and PIN, the phone will restart a few times.

 

 

Once It comes online and says 'Me' it is configured for your extension.

 

When you are done using the phone, tap the 'more options' softkey and tap 'sign out'

 

 

 

The phone will restart again and revert to the primary user.
